You may want to look into the chapters on Dissolution of Marriage

on this site. In this regard, I invite your attention to NRS Chapter 125,

There may be other laws affecting your ability to resolve a divorce,

support or custody problem, which is necessarily beyond the scope

of this reply.

You don't have to know where he is, you can file for divorce in the state where you are living and serve him the papers by certified mail to his last known address. If that doesn't work you can serve him by publishing an ad in the newspaper. Your divorce will be valid even if he never sees the newspaper notice.

I noticed you also selected Maryland attoneys to answer your question. If you have lived in Maryland for at least one year then you can file in Maryland. That makes it a lot easier on you because you won't have to travel back to Nevada for a court hearing.
