Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
Divorce Decree Terms Not Being Met
Ex is not paying per terms of divorce decree. This is not alimony. We share a house and she is supposed to pay a set dollar amount every month for mortgage/upkeep. She says she cannot pay due to financial hardship and must pay a lesser amount. Can she sign a letter giving up interest and walk away if I agree to that? Is it reasonable for me to demand to claim 100% of mortgage interest at tax time since she is not meeting her financial obligation?

Re: Divorce Decree Terms Not Being Met
She can sell you the house through a deed. You can only claim the mortgage interest for the amount you pay. Are you both living in the house?
