Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
I was divorced in Nevada. My divorce decree states that the father has visitation rights with our child for three days a week. I want to amend the decree to allow for me to take our child on an extended vacation to Slovakia each summer. I am an American citizen. What legal arguments can I make when applying for either dispensation to allow me to take our child on an extended vacation or to preferably amend the divorce decree to allow me to visit my family with our child each year?

Well, you do not say what the current terms are for vacations (if any). If there are none, the decree can always be amended during the minority of the child to provide for such. For some sample clauses (and a lot of other information), see http://www.willicklawgroup.com/child_custody_visitation.
