Divorse papers

My friends husband left her. She had to get the divorse papers, but he wont sign them. there is one child, possibly two that is his. I seem to think he wont sign them so he doesnt have to pay child support. Can he do that? If not what can she do to get the divorse going so she can get on with her life?

Your friend can get a divorce even if her husband will not sign the divorce papers. However, it may take longer and she probably should get a lawyer to help her. To get started she would have to have her husband served with the divorce complaint. If he fails to answer in time, she can file a default and get the items requested in her complaint.
