Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
is a document ''legal'' just because its notarized
I co-signed on a car loan with 1 of my daughters-she sub-leased it to her sister, and they have a notarized ''agreement''-I AM on the title & registration, but did NOT sign the ''agreement''- they say it's legal because its notarized, is this true? now there are problems with late payments, etc - I want to report the car stolen, because they have left our state with the car. We are afraid that if the claim is paid off thru insurance, and she comes back with this ''agreement'', that the ins company will claim insurance fraud.
is this ''agreement'' a legal document, just because it has been notarized

Re: is a document ''legal'' just because its notarized
Although the document may be legal between them it does not have anything to do with you. However, you cannot report the vehicle as stolen since you know who has it and you have let one of the parties to that agreement have possession to the car.
