Equitable division of the assets

My ex husband and I divorced in November of 2001. We both only owned one vehicle together. He wants the vehicle out of his name but will not pay his half of the loan. Can I take him to court for his half?

Generally, the person who is awarded the asset is also responsible for the accompanying debt.
