Can my family force me to stay after I'm 18 just because they don't like my boyfriend and don't wish me to move in with him

Short version, "no." While some support duties can extend beyond 18 (19 if still in high school) at 18 one is a lawful adult, free of custody orders or legal control of others. Formally, anyway -- many families have monetary, support, social, and other means of getting members to abide by perceived "rules" of one sort or another. But legally, at 18, you make your own decisions.
