Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

My fiance is incarcerated and has never found out if his daughter is actually his. Recently the mother of his daughter has gotten her rights taken away from her. He is requesting paternity of his daughter, and if proven her paternal father would like to have his daughter in our familie's care. Is this possible and who has his rights to her while he is still incarcerated?

CPS will look for the nearest relative, but yes if you can establish paternity, then the father would have a say as to the child's placement, if mom has been removed as unfit. See:
