Is it fraud to get married solely to get extra benefits from the military?

As with so much in law, the answer is "maybe." People are free to marry for any reason they see as important -- love, family arrangement, sense of obligation, desire for economic security, etc.; they simply are not allowed to commit fraud in doing so.
