Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I am a grandparent that has had guardianship pretty much since birth with the exception of a few months, grandson is now 5 years old. I want my grandson to continue living with me, would this be an adoption or some type of custody. Both parents will give up parental rights to me.

You can petition for legal letters of guardianship or for adoption. However, the latter may require a welfare investigation.
