Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
Grandparents rights
Will Nevada honor an out-of-state grandparent visitation order? (which is currently being appealled) Would she have to petition there if that is where we live? In general, what are Nevada's views on grandparent's rights? Thank you.

Re: Grandparents rights
Nevada will honor it if the New York court is allowing visitation pending the appeal. Nevada would be constitutionally required to honor it. I am presuming your grandchildren are now living in Nevada and not New York. As to the Court's view of grandparent visitation, as long as both parents don't object, and there is a relationship between the grandparents and the grandchildren, Nevada will grant visitation if your child currently is not getting visitation. (ie. Grandparents' rights accrue only if the parent without custody cannot visit the child (usually due to death, jail, or termination of parental rights). Expect to pay $1500 to Petition the Court to enforce the New York Order and $2,500 if a new order needs to be obtained after a motion.
