Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

i have a two and a half year old son with a man that i am no longer togetjer with. When i left town with my son to nevada, his fatherr arrives about a week later and ook him up to california for visitation and now doea nit want to return him. Can i go to california and pick up my son?

Under the law, you should get custody in the court where your son lived for the past six months. If your son is from California, you should seek the right to relocate with your son in a California court, unless the father consented to your move. It appears he did not consent and that you unlawfully took the child to Nevada. What made you think that you could just take his child away without permission from him or from a court? You should have a very good reason for this when you have to answer this question before the court. On the other hand, he should have sought court intervention before withholding the child. He appears to also be in the wrong. You need a lawyer in California, the sooner the better.
