Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

My ex husband and I have been seperated since our daughter was 1. we have had no contact with him so i did a divorce by publication in 2007. i have since remarried and my new spouse wants to adopt my daughter and change her last name. if i do not have contact with my ex can we file for abandonment and have my current spouse adopt my daughter and change her last name?

Yes, it is possible. You would need to file a Petition to Terminate Parental Rights. If that is granted, you would need to then file a Petition for Adoption.

Since you do not know where the natural father is you will have to serve him by publication like you did the divorce.
