Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I currently have joint physical and joint legal custody of my 7 year old with her father. We plan on taking a 2 week vacation out of state. We verbally came up with an agreement that it is ok. Do I need any legal written paper stating that the father agreed with us going out of state since it will interfere with his scheduled visitations?
