Will the baby be sent to Child Haven? What would doing any of this do to your future relationship with the 17 year old, and the grandchild? How close is the 18th birthday in any event?

Bottom line -- think through what you really want to accomplish, and why, and proceed calmly, and cautiously, with an eye toward the future.
