Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I have been married for 3 years and we are going to get a divorce. My husband got ahold of my engagement ring and refuses to return it. My understanding is that the ring is my sole and seperate property. Is this true?

Short answer: yes. There is no published Nevada Supreme Court case on point, but the law of completed gifts as recognized here indicates that the engagement ring became your sole and separate property on the date of marriage, no matter what happened thereafter. I've collected the law on this subject from around the country, and litigated this a few times, in family court and elsewhere.
