Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
My mother's situation with an administrator odfher mates probate
My mother (84 years old) and recently lost her mate of 50 plus years. Unfortunately, since my mothers mates passing, she refuses to communicate with me. Since they were never married, (her mate had no will) a probate lawyer was obtained on behalf of his relatives. Her mate left my mother a lot of money, however, the administrator of the probate has taken over my mothers financial affairs and has convinced her he is just helping her.
My mother cannot read or spell, and she has been diagnosed with dementia. She is overly depressed because of her loss; she is despondent and confused with no place to live
The administrator has communicated with me that he has had her sign checks (after his opening bank accounts for undisclosed amounts and payees) and he has filled in the payee names and amounts.
My mother left Nevada and went to California where she currently resides in a motel, and the administrator has informed me that she has a death wish but he refuses to tell me where she is located as I am her only child. The administrator told me if my mother chooses to die in the motel she is staying in that is her business, and he still refuses to tell me where she is. He stated he doesnt think she will last very long.

Re: My mother's situation with an administrator odfher mates probate
I can help you but it seems that the administrator is a crook. Therefore, I would require a retainer to commence work. We can get the administrator removed from handling your mother's funds. I can also review the probate file and determine exactly what her rights are.
Finally, I am also licensed in California and can handle any work there to assist your mother.
