Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Moving a child within the state you live in.

In my divorce papers it says I cant move my son out of the state of Nevada without written concent from the non custodial parent. Do I have to pettion the court to move my son with in the state of Nevada?

Yes and no. The judge cannot stop you from moving within the state but you obviously need a new visitation order because the other parent cannot exercise the same visitation as he/she had before.

You can do it by an agreement, in Clark County, you can also have help from the Family Mediation Center but if you two don't agree, some one will have to petition the court.
