My future husband lives in Nevada.I live here in Texas.I have children who reside with me.There is no restriction to stay here. But I would to know if I have to modify the decree again. And if there is a problem,I would like to move it the jurisidtion in Nevada. How long would this take to do?We would like to get married as soon as possible.Thank u very much,T

Re: moving childrenout of state
In order for Nevada Courts to take over changes to a custody order made by Texas, the children would need to live in Nevada for at least six (6) months. However, if Papa still lives in Texas, it is unlikely that Nevada will take on the responsibility to resolve custody and visitation disputes unless Texas Courts decide to decline future involvement. I have to wonder what you expect to come up that raises this issue.
