Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
NV Custody
I just served the mother and included
was a JPI. She has since not returned
any of my calls or texts and I know she
is leaving the state. She claims that she
will return, but I am not sure. What can
or should I do??

Re: NV Custody
Your question is not simple and the answer is complicated.
You need to hire a lawyer or at least be willing to spend $100 for a 30 min. consultation.
Re: NV Custody
If she does leave the state with the minor child, you can file an ex parte application asking the court for a "pick up" order especially if you know where she has gone. This will allow local law enforcement in the state where she has gone to, to pick up the child and return the child to Nevada pending a custody determination. Whether she leaves or not, you should file a motion with the court for custody, visitation, child support etc.
