proceedures to get custody back of my children

I lost custody to my mother in law

about a year ago, due to substance abuse. I am now clean and want to know what steps I need to take to start the process.

You will have to petition the court for visitation, which would be a graduated process. First supervised, then unsupervised, then overnight, the full custody. You should show the Judge what made you clean, ie. in patient program, out patient, counseling, AA, etc.

This would be done in the Court that gave her custody.
