The person must be physically present in Nevada for 6 weeks and one day and intend to remain in Nevada indefinitely.

The grounds for divorce are incompatibility or separatation for more than one year.

Upon completion of residency, you may file for divorce. If both husband and wife consent to the divorce in writing, a final decree may be submitted to the court immediately. But if other spouse will not consent, the divorce papers must be served, either in person or by publication, upon the other spouse. After time allowed to file an answer has passed, if the other spouse has not responded, a final decree may be submitted to the court. However, if the other spouse responds in writing to contest the divorce, the case will be set for trial.
