refuses to reach settlement agreement
I've been trying to get a divorce for quite sometime now. I find that my husband will not settle for what is fair, he wants everything so we cannot reach a settlement agreement. I would like to get things rolling again and try get divorced again however I'm already anticipating the idea that a settlement will not be reached. At this point, I would much rather have a judge delegate who gets what. Is there an inexpensive way to bypass futile negotiations and go directly to trial? Also, can somebody prevent a divorce from ever being finalized simply by never agreeing to possible settlement terms and constantly changing their mind on what they think they deserve?

It is a waste of time to negotiate with someone who refuses. You might consider mediation. Alternative Solutions is good in Las Vegas. One person cannot unilaterally stop a divorce. The best thing is to file your complaint, serve it and litigate the matter as fast as your attorney can do it.
