Re: regaining custody
If the order is from Nevada, you will have to file in Nevada if your son's parent is still in Nevada. You need to show that your son's situation has materially changed and that his welfare will be substantially enhanced.
Further, since you live in Arizona, you will have to also ask the judge to move your son to Arizona. These are complicated issues that you should not try yourself.
Re: regaining custody
If orders have already been entered, you will need to file a Petition to Modify.
We can absolutely help.
I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.
Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.

Re: regaining custody
Thank you for your inquiry. If you have an existing child custody order within the State of Nevada you would need to file a Petition to Modify said order within Nevada.
Your inquiry was quite brief and it would be difficult to adequately advise you without knowing more of your situation. If you would like to contact my office to set up a free consultation feel free to do so.
