How do you retain guardianship of a child after 18, as to confine them from entering into any contracts

If necessary, and adult guardianship of the person or the estate (essentially, the latter means as to financial matters), tailored to the necessary situation, can be obtained. Much depends on whether it is objectively necessary, and whether any such request would be opposed by the proposed ward. We obtained one last week, for example, for the parents of a a now-adult child with Down Syndrome, who will probably need assistance the rest of his life. It was of course unopposed, and not terribly difficult.
