Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Seeking advice for real estate/divorce/alimony

My husband proposed to me for the wrong reasons - thinking he could change me... we've been married for 8 months now and he is controlling and verbally abusive. We purchased a home in NV where I am now living (he was to come up after I got a job, we moved from CA). The plan was that I would get a hospital job and take pre-reqs for nursing. The mortgage is for $260K and all in his name b/c I do not have perfect credit. My concern is that I put in almost $70K for the downpayment, he put in $22K. He wants to put everything in my name (as if he's doing me a favor) but I can not afford this mortgage on my pay alone and with school. How can I protect my investment and still continue my education? We agreed on this plan of action. He admits fault and I would file for divorce b/c I feel like it was fraudulent. I believed he asked me b/c he loves me, he wanted to ''up the ante'' and get me to change my career/ schooling/ everything by asking. He led me to believe one thing when it was not true, and has been verbally abusive since we got married. Thank you for any advice, I really need it, and want to seek action quickly to cover myself.

The Court would awad you your equity in the Court back to you and divide any excess community property. Title does not mean much in a community property state. Your case for fraud against your husband is unlikely to be a winner as fraud has to be proved by clear and convincing evidence.
