What happens if you did not respond to served papers in the necessary time frame?

A "default" may be taken and you lose your case. The other side gets what they asked for and it becomes an order of the court that you have to follow.

It is not too late to file a Motion to Set Aside the default, you have 6 months after service of the order or judgment.
