Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

My son and his wife were married May 8, 2010. They just had a baby boy on aug. 27th. Aththe present time they are both incarcerated for a few weeks. MY QUESTION IS.. Me being the grandmother do i have any right to keep him until they get released???? My son gave me permission to keep him. With christmas coming is it ok if I take the baby from las vegas,nv to san diego, ca to see family.???? Its only 300 miles away. Please let me know. Thank you

To be on the safe side, I would recommend that he sign a temporary guardianship over to you so that you will have authority to care for the child in case of emergency since you are a non-parent.
