Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

My son is 18 years and will be graduating high school on June 9, 2011. I had a child support with the district attorney since 1993 when my son was born. His father has paid child support on and off throughout the 18 years. In 2010 he only made 2 payments and in 2009 1 payment was made.

My questions are- Can we get a order for him to paid child support throughout college? Also, What kind of actions can we take to collect the child support that is past due?

Thank you,

Catherine Jackson

No, you can't get an order for college unless he agreed to it but state law says, child support stops on June 30, 2011. You are already using the D.A. so I am unsure why they are not pressuring him to pay. They typically only threaten jail and never do garnishments.

If you would like to hire me to garnish, I would charge you One Thousand Dollars up front and you would get reimbursed when we collect.
