son's father

my son's father left us when i was 4 months, & i haven't seen him since. what can i do so that he doesn't come around & try to take my son.

If your son's father has not been provided any care for the child for a period of at least 6 months you would be able to petition the Clark County Family Court to terminate the father's parental rights.

He also has no rights unless you were married. He has to petition the court for a declaration of paternity and a custody/visitation order. As Mr. Herbe says, you can also petition to terminate his rights.
