Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
Out of State Settlement
I have a divorce decree and settlement form the State of Nevada, where my ex was suppopsed to pay me a large sum of money in exchange for property rights. She resides in California, is delinquent in payment. and states that she cannot pay. Wher do I file for enforcement, California or Nevada?

You will probably have to localize your Nevada divorce in California. While you can get contempt in Nevada for her violation, she will not be extradited.
If you localize in California, you can seek all remedies against her.
I am licensed both in Nevada and California so if you want to email your telephone number to discuss, please do so.

Nevada still has jurisdiction until it has entered an order tranferring jurisdiction or you have filed a complaint for foreign judgment in another state which will take jurisdiction.
