What are the recognized types of custody in Nevada?

The court awards joint legal custody which has nothing to do with the "physical custody". Joint Legal Custody means generally that both parties have a "say" when it comes to the child. "Physical custody" means which parent the child lives with. The parties can agree to one parent being the primary physical custodian with the other parent having visitation. The parties can agree to, or be ordered to, share joint physical custody which means that the child is with each of the parents one half of the time. The more common forms of joint physical custody are: each parent has 3 1/2 days per week or each parent has a week at a time with the child.
