Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
VIsitation and Support order question
Order: Granted divorce eff. 5/9/2005
Issue: Child Support during vacations
Comment: I live in Reno Nevada, (as do my kids and ex). I get my kids each summer vacation from 6-8 weeks as part of our divorce agreement.
Question: What are Nevada's laws regarding an order for support when they are in my custody during this time?
Comment: I read on another web-site that Indiana state Child Support guidelines provides that the non-custodial parent must pay at least half of the child support order when he/she has the kids during the summer vacation.
Question: Are there similar guiidelines for the state of Nevada?
Comment: Currently I have Joint Legal custody but for the past 8 years of separation, and previous year of divorce I have been paying full support while the kids are with me over the summer vacation. The impact to my finances are dual in that I have limited resources paying for support AND supporting them for the above-mentioned time.
Question: Should I seek legal help?
Question: Also, though the divorce decree has been signed and completed, can I file a motion to make a change to the order of divorce after the fact?

Re: VIsitation and Support order question
There is no law on the subject specifically. Normally this is bargained for before the divorce. Either there is an abatement or reduction in child support during vacations which are at least a month. You would have to file a motion to modify the Decree of Divorce. However, usually such motions are not file right after the Decree.
