visitations
wife is preparing our uncontested divorce papers. she has entered under visitations a few of the dates i requested and says she will also add 1 floating week anytime i wished, plus if my son (9yrs) decides to extend his stay he may. is this legal. the directions for these papers states to be specific with dates and times. we live in seperate states. her in nevada i in illinois. i am paying all expenses so i want to be sure this is legal or will be enforced by the court

You should be specific because if there is a dispute as to when you should have your son the written Decree will control, not what she is telling you now. You should have an attorney review the divorce documents just to make sure that all your bases are covered.

How much notice will you give her of the "floating week". Will the notice be in writing? What if it conflicts with his schooling? Will you get her okay before you buy plane tickets?
Regarding your 9 yr. old wanting to "extend his stay"---kids should not be making adult decisions. What if he wants to "extend permanently"? OR What if he doesn't want to come and visit you because your time with him is during a friend's party here in LV or some other fun activity?
