Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada
My ex wife and I were divorsed in Las Vegas, NV 6 months ago. She gave birth to my son and then moved to Reno NV. I allowed her to move in my divorce decree, agreed on a $2600 a month child support and also agreed to fly to Reno every 2 weeks and keep him from Friday to Monday. I have been doing that for 7 months now and it is costing me a fortune. I am now realizing that this isn't realistic both emotionally or financially. I am telling my ex that I want to keep my son for 1/2 of the month and she is telling me no and that I need to continue to come to Reno to see him. I have a great job and a nice house with a room for my son in Las Vegas and want him with me for 1/2 of the time. Is this something that the courts will allow? If so how do I go about doing this? Also, my commission was cut by 8% as well and I can no longer afford to go to Reno, purchase a rental car, a hotel, food and baby stuff like I could before. I am a great dad that just wants to be with his son. Please help.

No portion of the existing order looks like it was well-advised -- not custody, visitation, or support. You need a more detailed analysis, by a family law expert, than anyone is going to be able to provide in an e-mail; I suggest you review the information at http://www.willicklawgroup.com/consultation-policies and consider calling to set up a consultation appointment; if you do elect to call here, please ask for Ms. Molnar.
