Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

I was wondering, i had a baby 2 years ago, me and the dad had split up while i was still pregnant, i was also still married at the time, anyway i didnt put the real father on birth certificate or his last name for our sons last name, now that we are back together he wants his name on his sons birth certificate and his last name as his to. I am divorced and my ex husband admitted in court the baby wasnt his, but i have no clue how to go about changing the father on birth certificate since i put my ex husband on it instead of real father. Anyone know how i can go about this? It happened in Nevada btw. Also am i gonna have to pay up the ass to change it, and can we get free dna test? how long does it take? etc.... We live in new mexico now though.

Sounds like everyone is in agreement. Get the ex to sign a relinquishment of parental rights, and the actual father to sign an acknowledgment of paternity. That might be sufficient, by itself, to get Nevada vital statistics to change the birth certificate (call them and ask). If not, you could do a formal adoption by the actual dad to establish paternity in NM, and might be able to get pro bono, or self-help, assistance there.
