I bought a damaged car unknowingly

I bought my car June 2006, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt. I just found out that the rear axle was bent and the repair car said you can tell my looking at it it's been in an accident. I've had no accidents so my question is: Should the dealership I bought my car from have disclosed it was in an accident? I am having to pay close to $2000 I don't have and I want to know if I have any way of recuperating any of it. Thanks.

You need to look at your contract. If you bought it "as is" your stuck.

If not you may have a fraud or negligent mispresentation claim.
