Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada
MY friend is threatening to sue me for $300.00 she put into my account for money she owed me and she is saying that it is a personal loan. Their was no contract signed or promissory note, she lives in utah and i live in nevada. can i be sued?

Yeah, probably. She will have to come to Nevada to file the suit and serve it on you. If you do end up being served with a suit, just go in to small claims court, present your facts and hope the judge believes you over her. If you could dig up a letter or email that evidences your friend owed you money, that would be huge support for your case. She has a tough case ahead of her, so it really would come down to who is the more believable witness in their own behalf.
