Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

My husband's company was embezzeled for over $130,000. After being released from prison and parole, we have now become responsible for recovering those monies which the defendant was order to repay-apparnetly now since she is no longer in the "system", we must file a civil lawsuit-where do we begin?

A timely lawsuit must be filed before the applicable statute of limitations expires in the proper Court, and the defendant must be given notice of the lawsuit in accordance with the applicable Court rules. Your attorney can explain further.
