Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Nevada

overdue loan repayment

lent$5k to the chief of metro police chief's wife aug'04 with agreement to be paid in full w/in 6mo time frame.obviously not repaid & now the husband knows the situation & is keeping up with the charade of telling me a payment will be made& then not following through.have a revised promissory note from oct'06 & emails from both. then to grab attention i send this email & receive threatening one back.''i remember you asked me not to write about the overdue loan subject on this email address, but maybe this is the only way to grab your attention to the seriousness of this matter Mr O'Leary.

you thank me for my patience in your last note and then snub me for any amount of loan repayment Thursday, which was something you actually wrote that you would do yourself. Then you ignore and avoid telling me that there will be no deposit made even though i sent you two messages asking to explain what was going on yesterday.please find the time to contact me somehow today.

thank you.''

'Let me make myself clear. This will be the last time you use a goverment

e-mail for your personal business.I warned you before and any further

attempt to contact me via my employer/department e-mail will result inany consequence I can legally bring to bear'

Re: overdue loan repayment

Recommend that you file a small claims action with $5K jurisdictiona limit. You can find the necessary information and forms at the district court website in the county where you made the agreement.
