Legal Question in Immigration Law in Nevada

Hello. I came into the country legally in 1992 from Guatemala. I applied for asylum in 1993 and never got an answer. After that I applied for work permit as a person that came into the country illegally (as advised by an attorney, who later lost his office for fraud reasons). I got the working permit and up to this day am renewing it every year. Is there any way for me to apply for legal residency or adjustment of status? Thank you for your help.

If you have a US citizen spouse, you may apply for green card provided you can prove the legal entry to the US. We suggest you to consult with an immigration attorney.

If you are receiving your EAD yearly, you likely have some link to status. It is critical that you retain counsel to pull your immigration file, review it and advise you accordingly. Without knowing where you are with USCIS, engaging in any course of conduct is not prudent. Please hire a reputable attorney to obtain your alien file and advise you.
