Legal Question in Immigration Law in Nevada

My relative has been living in thailand for 15 years, he doesnt owe any taxes but he hasnt filed. He needs to come home for a funeral but doesnt want his passport confiscated at immigration. will that happen?

More information required. I presume your relative is a green card holder or is he a US citizen? If he is a US green card holder, they will revoke the green card. If he is a US citizen, he will not have any problems re-entering.
