Legal Question in Immigration Law in Nevada
is it worth my money and time
i need to know this month if my boyfriend has a chance at legalizing himself to be here. He came 5 years ago from Mexico. About a year ago went to jail for an accesory to trafficing drugs. He got probation. 5 months ago went to jail for driving without a license and got deported. A couple months later he came back and went tojail again this time for failure to appear for probation (due to being in mexico because he was deported) and was deported agian he is currently in Mexico. Is there anything i can do to give him a chance to be here with me and his daughter? If there is i want to put in an application this month.

The short answer is that your boyfriend has only a tiny chance, if any, to obtain legalization in this country -- and that chance is only possible with a good lawyer. And still, there is no guarantee. Your boyfriend was not deported for driving without a license -- he was deported for being an accessory to drug trafficking. Now, unless your boyfriend has some chance at relief from deportation, the result is exactly what should be. I don't know all the facts, and there is a possibility that your boyfriend could return to the U.S. temporarily to see you and his daughter, but that is a tough job. His history is not good. You are not his wife. Sorry the news could not be better. Good luck.
