Vehicle owners in Nevada must carry auto insurance that provides at least the following coverages for any vehicle in operation in the state:
$15,000 for injuries to one person in an accident
$30,000 per accident where more than one person is hurt, and
$10,000 per accident for property damage.
If you own this vehicle, you must pay for the insurance if your stepson will not. For reimbursement, you can sue in Small Claims Court. Your attorney can advise further.
