Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Nevada
Publisher permission for elearning content
I recently created series of online leaning modules that I would like to provide free access to on my business website (I sell subscriptions to online continuing education units).
The modules are composed of a series of multiple-choice questions taken from the glossary of a textbook.
Do I need the publisher or author's permission to post these materials on my site?
My business is located in Nevada but since it involves the internet I'm not sure what laws would apply.

Re: Publisher permission for elearning content
If you use materials not created by you, i.e. the glossary of a textbook, and you do not have the right to publish this material you are violating the copyright of the author by creating a derivative work from their original.
US Copyright laws apply.
If you need help negotiating the license agreement and or having your product review please contact me for further discussion.
