Legal Question in Employment Law in Nevada
Even though Nevada is an at will employment state, my employer terminated me as retaliation for talking to a state mine inspector, and admitted to doing so in a recorded conversation. This is a violation of federal law as well as the company's Own disciplinary policy as written in the employee handbook. I have filed a formal complaint with MSHA, how can I find an attorney willing to file a wrongful termination suit as well? Because it's an at will state, I haven't even been able to get an attorney to listen to the details! They also refused to pay out my accrued vacation time.

In mining, retaliatory termination is called a discriminatory termination and is a violation of Section 105(c) of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977. That law that was passed to protect miners and mine workers from employer retaliation when they blow the whistle on safety hazards or who refuse to engage in unsafe mining activities.
