Legal Question in Employment Law in Nevada
I was just terminated for the first time in my life. I was caught off guard, as I had no warning to this action. My boss urged me to sign this paper, when I asked what it's for, he stated to acknowledge receipt. In distress, I signed. I now know it was a termination agreement that I left involuntarily. I am upset I signed it, I wanted the option to resign first. Is there a way to revoke my signature within a period of time. I live in Las Vegas, NV

Whether or not you left your place of employment voluntarily or involuntarily is often a matter of pride above all else. The fact that you were involuntarily separated from employment, for example, could mean that you are entitled to unemployment benefits whereas a voluntary separation without justifiable cause could leave you without any assistance with respect to unemployment benefits. You may also have additionaly legal recourse. Notwithstanding, you should consult with an attorney who regularly practices in the area of employee rights. You may be surprised to find that you have more rights than you think you may have.
