Legal Question in Employment Law in Nevada

unpaid wages

My ex employer owes me $37,000 in unpaid wages and refused to pay. I have been to the proper govenment agencies and they seem to have their hands tied due to the employer requesting a hearing. He says he does not have the money to pay me but is paying his other employees that are still working. Can I force the courts to look at his business and possible have them appoint a receiver?

Re: unpaid wages

You do have remedies by bringing a Court case. I would suggest you contact an attorney, my phone number is in the yellow pages under employee rights attorneys and my law practice is focused on collecting unpaid wages or visit my website overtimlaw dot com. The Nevada Labor Commissioner is often not very effective in this situation. I cannot advise as to specific legal remedies that might be sensible (such as seeking an involuntary bankruptcy, etc.) without more information about your situation.
