Legal Question in Employment Law in Nevada
I work in Las Vegas as an Independent contractor but I feel like the company that gives me work is treating me like an employee. First of all they won't give me a copy of my contract, which I requested many times ( when i signed i asked for a copy and they said "we don't do that") they don't send 1099's they threaten to write us up and suspend us. I have so many questions but I will start with how can I get a copy of my contract and isn't it illegal for them to not send 1099's?

You should speak with someone (in person, do not call) at the Office of the Labor Commissioner, located at 555 E. Washington Ave., Ste. 4100. Someone there will speak with you at no charge to you, and if you have a viable claim, they might even handle it for you at no charge to you.
