Legal Question in Employment Law in Nevada
I have never worked in a manufacturing environment where time punches are required. I have only been there 2 weeks, and while in the majority of the cases I did punch in and out for start/end of shift, and also start/end of lunch 1/2 hour, I am so tired (graveyard shift) and distracted by problems at home, I forget later whether or not I did the punch at either of the 4 junctures. You have to fill out a "missed punch" form anytime you missed a punch or suspect you may have missed a punch. I have had about 8-10 instances of this. I am wondering what is the most likely level of disciplinary action is that they will take now that it is apparent that it has become a chronic problem. I have come up with my own correction action plan: I will carry a small notebook in my coat and will document in writing my time punches.

The starting place for your inquiry should be your employee handbook, or some other such document that outlines discipline.
